Team Dragon had two fighters competing in the third Refuse To Lose Full Contact show at Worcester on Saturday October 6th.

First up was 17 year old Callum Thompson fighting over 3 rounds for the WUMA Midland title Callum started off slow but soon got into his rhythm his opponent Justin Weldon from Weston Super Mare some 10 years older gave Callum a good fight but Callum proved to be the fitter and stronger, nearly stopping Justin in the second round. After the 3rd and final round it was easy to see who was the winner. Winning all 3 rounds Callum scratched up yet another Mature win.

Our other fighter on the night was Paul Mayfield who was asked only 2 weeks prior if he wanted to fight for a European title against the current WUMA World champion, the ice man Mark Smith. Paul accepted the challenge and along with his instructor Colin Muress concentrated on preparing for the fight. 

This was the last fight of the night and the most exciting paul matched Mark in every round until the 4th round when he took an eight count, after the eight count Paul came back strong all the way into the finale round when the bell went not only had Paul won the respect from the ice man but from every one in the room. The decision was a points victory for the ice man, but I'm sure that these two fighters will meet again.
