Even more from Oz

G'day Pete and the gang!

Just thought I would let you know that Kieran has found a new Kickboxing club close to where we now live in Australia. The Sensai, Al Benedeich is a great bloke (but not a patch on you Pete - he hasn't got any tattoos!) and the style is mixed martial arts, with Freestyle Kickboxing being the main discipline. Kieran is being assessed formerly in December with a view to getting his blue belt (or maybe higher) validated. He has to learn "kartas" (don't know if I have spelt that correctly) which are groups of kicks, punches and blocks that are choregraphed together. His teacher has been impressed with him thus far and sends his regards to you for teaching him well.

Anyway, hope all is well in Lincolnshire and that everyone is managing to pass their gradings. I'm 34 weeks pregnant now, so no kickboxing just yet- although, judging by the way the baby is kicking at the moment, he/she may be a good bet for the future!

I have attached a picture of Kieran in his new uniform for you to see.

Very best wishes,

from Helen, Pete, Kieran and bump!

More from the Allars in Oz

Hi Pete,

Good to talk to you on Sunday. Hope the grading went well and you didnt
put them through to much pain (as if!). We have hardly trained at all since
we have been here, still havent found a club as good as the Dragons. Plenty
of clubs around but still looking. Good news about all the success everyone
is having at the comps, send our congratulations to everybody especially
Idris on his full contact exploits (I always thought he was mad!!). Havent
heard from Big Al for a while, has Philly broken any of his ribs latley?
Didnt get a chance to mention to Rachel about 'Pete the Possum' that lives
in our garden, if we can I will get a picture and send it over.

Take care

Alastair, Beth and Family

STEPHANIE JOINS THE ELITE!

Stephanie Jobson has just found out that she has achieved the coveted Black Belt. After 14 hours of grading Steph showed the rest why the black dragons have got such a good standard - hard work and commitment along with a great natural ability. Steph now joins the ever growing team of Black Belts within the U.F.B.D.A.

WELL DONE STEPH!

The family send all their friends their best, a big hello and say: we hope we'll meet up again in a competition somewhere!
